Seeds arrive in Uganda as permitted by UN

Great News! Industrial Hemp seeds have now arrived in Uganda and are legal for cultivation according to the 1961 UN Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs (Amended 1972). Uganda signed and ratified this convention in 1989, which supersedes any domestic laws.

Article 28.2 clearly states:

2. This Convention shall not apply to the cultivation of the cannabis plant exclusively for industrial purposes (fiber and seed) or horticultural purposes.

Here are some photos of the happy farmer owners also receiving their gift neckties at the meeting where the seeds were distributed.
